You can get a cheap meter off Amazon for around $10-15 that should work fine for you.

I might have to go ahead and get one of these. I always get paranoid about the smell around harvest time.

Pictures are incredibly helpful to diagnose sick plants. Post a few if possible.

The light stuff is easy enough to get on eBay or Amazon, but the heavier stuff like big bags of soil might not be the best idea because of the shipping costs. The grow I just started I'm using MG potting soil (not the time released kind) with MG perilite that I got from HD. It was all they had...
