    Please help

Are the affected leaves dark green as suggested the first pictures posted? If so, you probably have nitrogen toxicity; dark green leaves, leaf tip burn and eagle clawing leading to necrosis. Back off on the bat guano! Good Luck!

    HELP!! What deficiency is this??

Check out your grocery store or WalMart. Read the labels because there are several different methods of purifying water. Distillation, De-ionization and Reverse Osmosis are the most common. You do not want "reverse osmosis with minerals added" as for drinking water. Get the one that says...

    Shy seedlings

Is that a tap root I see in the picture? It's hard to see but it looks like the seed was placed with bottom up. If this is the case the sprout has to do double duty growing the tap root and runs out of energy before the cotyledons can be pushed above the medium. Grow ON! bongsmilie

    Shy seedlings

Normally it take 2-4 days for a seed to sprout but not always. On my last grow I had one seed that refused to crack so I left it alone just to see what it would do. Well, 19 days later it sprouted. However, it was so far behind the rest of my plants I pulled it. Happy Growing!

    spider mites or just pollen

It looks more like lint to me. The shape of the particles are not uniform enough to be eggs or pollen. Could also be white flies.

Question about the cost of electricity for 250watt mh/hps-or-400 watt indoor grow

If you want to calculate the cost of operating a 400 watt hps it's easy to do. Look at your electric bill and find the cost per K/W hour. This is what you pay for 1000 watts of electricity per hour. A 400 watt bulb no matter if is HPS, MH, T5 or CFL, 400 watts is 400 watts. It doesn't matter...

blackberry, whitewidow, bubblelicious having yellowing problems help!!orded from nirvan

Great looking plants! It always puts a smile on my face and a warm spot in my heart when I see a grow come to harvest. Write my name on the side of a "J" and smoke one for me! What was your fix for the deficiency you had back in December?

    Hermie or not

If it's your only plant and you are not worried about pollinating other females by all means grow it out! Seeds are an inconvenience and will not affect the quality of the smoke. As far as trying to remove the male flowers forget it! They can pop up at any node on any branch even the main trunk...

Hello Riddle, I’ve read most of your threads including the posts you made in UBs threads. I’m an old school gardener myself and get a good laugh from most of what I read on RIU but there are a few people like yourself that are spot on! At the beginning of this thread there was some discussion...

    Discoloration on leaves?

Normally your would pinch the leaf but you do not have an abundance of leaves to pinch. I would just inspect them very carefully everyday for the next week. If necessary use "Garden Safe" by Schultz and that will get rid of them.

    Discoloration on leaves?

A leaf miner is a garden insect that lays its eggs on the underside of leaves. The line you see is where the grub has eaten its way along the leaf. You will find them at the end of the line.

    Discoloration on leaves?

Pictures 1 and 2 could be the beginning of pH spotting or nutrient burn. Pic 3 is definitely a leaf miner. Check the underside of the leaf and at the end of the green line you will find a white grub about 1/64-1/32" long. Since your grow is just getting started there is no need to spray. Pick it...

    leaf problem?

You probably won't get to many responses without any details but if leaf cupping is all you have and it's at the top of the plant, it may be too much heat, causing the leaves to dry out. Always post with pictures and details of your nutrient and watering schedule, lights, temps, humidity and so...
