Bang for the Buck... With $30 of CFL's and a power strip you can get same results on 4 plants as you would with 400 watt HID which is roughly $160-250 respectively. Power cost is also much lower with the CFL, A 400 watt HID runs between 8-10 amps meaning its actually consuming more like 800-1000...

I'd have to disagree also... I have 2 s51 400 watt HID's that did not veg as well as CFL. I'll be using them in Flower room along with CFL for spot lighting
