How many seeds on a plant is too many seeds for maturing?

Update: The consequence of a tiny seed now becomes obvious. The inital rounded leaves, which seem to be formed from 2 halves of the inside of the seed, are also tiny. But the real leaves seem to come in just fine.

How many seeds on a plant is too many seeds for maturing?

Of the 7 "tiny" seeds I put in cubes to sprout, 5 have already sprouted. It's only been 3 days, which I consider good. So being very small doesn't seem to hurt White Widow. I also made a better estimate of how many seeds are on the single plant. It's over 800. Here's a picture of a "tiny"...

How many seeds on a plant is too many seeds for maturing?

Thanks for the good tips! The towel sounds really useful. I actually manufactured a screen under the whole plant in the fabric pot, to catch the seeds that fall. There's several other plants in that room, so if they fall onto the floor they go into the "unknown" bottle. I was surprised to...

Strange smoke/mist in curing jar when shaken

I'm growing as an experiment, so I've got a lot more coming in little batches. I'll try it again the same way if possible.

Strange smoke/mist in curing jar when shaken

Don't the rabbits get high? Or maybe rabbits are always high even without the leaves.

Strange smoke/mist in curing jar when shaken

The fridge is just a way to try to rule out terpenes for making that cloud. I've got other plants that I can use to learn to cure better. I thought it might be terpene vapor in that jar because I believe you could extract terpenes by putting dried pot into a vacuum for a day or two, then...

Strange smoke/mist in curing jar when shaken

Well, I'll answer that since I'm the real thread starter. I know the look of mycelium. Some deeper indents in the buds had the white hairs bridging the gap. The contrary evidence is, no ammonia smell. And I can't figure out how it made spores so fast. And I've never seen white spores, though...

E26/E27 LED bulbs for single plants?

I just want to grow single plants, and I want to use flood lamp style LED bulbs for various reasons. What I've learned on led bulbs so far: There's E26/E27 led grow bulbs all over ebay and amazon. Here's a pic to show what I'm talking about. E26 or E27 do in fact both fit in american...

Strange smoke/mist in curing jar when shaken

I can help you there. Just do an isopropyl alcohol extraction on half, and put the extract into the other half. Then dry it well. There's a bunch of warnings on the net on how to do that, make sure to read them (mostly about not catching the alcohol on fire).

Strange smoke/mist in curing jar when shaken

It's California where I am. I've got 6 plants, my friend has 6 plants, my niece promised to grow 6 plants once she gets her new apartment. I'm even trying to get my 88 year old mom to grow a few at the retirement community. I figure the rest of the old people will be interested in it...

How many seeds on a plant is too many seeds for maturing?

That's cool! I visualized spending hours picking through them by hand.

Strange smoke/mist in curing jar when shaken

I guess I'll try it both ways, and see what makes the best result! The claim seems to be, it's less harsh if you cure it properly.

Strange smoke/mist in curing jar when shaken

In case it's of use to anyone else who's learning, I kind of pushed the line on the curing rules. I got it dry till small branches could be snapped, put it into the jar,and then checked it each day. I left the the lid off as recommended, for how wet it felt. But I kind of fudged a bit on how...

Strange smoke/mist in curing jar when shaken

Wow, you guys are good! Yes, indeed that's it. I can see fine mycellium on the leaves if I look very closely. Guess this batch is going into the sous vide at a mold killing temp for a few days...

How many seeds on a plant is too many seeds for maturing?

I'm self-pollinating plants. It's working great, but I went a bit overboard on a White Widow. It must have 500 seeds on it. How many seeds can you grow on a plant, before their quality is compromised? Here's a couple of typical buds and their seeds, but the plant is covered with buds like this.

Strange smoke/mist in curing jar when shaken

I'm curing some LowRyder#2 in a jar. I made pollen with part of the same plant and gently applied a bit to one branch using a small brush. But just out of curiosity, I blew on the brush afterwards in the general direction of the other buds. I didn't see any pollen as a result of blowing on it...

    S1 seeds

I've been buying quality seeds from overseas. So presumably I don't have to worry about herming. However, seems like a good plan to me to harvest all your pot when it's ready, but let a bud or two keep going to see if they'll go male and also make seeds? I'm looking at 4-6 viable...

    S1 seeds

So my colloidal silver isn't the reason that AK47 made seeds? It was keeping it around a long time! I should have remembered that. But now I can say I did it the "natural" way too. With the STS, do you usually need to spray it a second time, and how do you know when that's warranted?
