if u are super worried just clip off those leafs on the bottom they dont really matter other than stored plant energy they dont capture much light thats mostly the job of the top leafs

MG is not bad of choice when it comes to soil just types of MG such as slow release I have always used MG seed starting soil and it sounds like it is the same as that Coco it has No nuts, ph balanced, excellent drainage, and water retention and id bet a crap ton cheaper.
