As light is concerned the brighter/stronger the better, if you think about it you want to try to get your lights as close as you can to the sun and look how many plants the sun grows, but usually with high powered lights come the heat righht after so thats what you really need to worry about...

How much heat does a 250w HPS produce? Can it be takin care of by basic household fans? Also I like to veg my plants to about 3ft and tie them down to flower, would I get away with 3-4 plants that size under the 250?

Also I plan to tie down the plant as well if that might help with lighting too?
