I know the heat issues all to well, 1000w hps dimmable ballast so right now I'm at 750w almost 3 weeks flowering and my temps can get hot if I don't have good ventilation and air flow. Normally I only grow during cold season but I'm not going to finish until end of June maybe into July.

Also if you do get a portable a.c you can run it during the day without battling the heat from your lights.

I think you can still switch over by going dark a full 24 hours, you could create a new thread and ask I'm sure someone here has done it.

Some people with heat issues have lights running at night when temps are cooler and dark during the days when it gets hot.

You flowering yet or veg?

You could leave the door open and put a box fan in it blowing fresh air into the room, might help a little.

You have a tent in a room? Is the tent dark on its own?

Really all you need are the basics and the willingness to learn. Good genetics helps also.

Growing your own is more rewarding even if it's not the best of the best. I know exactly how it was grown and never treated with pesticides or other chemicals.

Be patient, sometimes the the hay/grassy smell will go away and start getting better after a a couple weeks.

Just keep it to yourself grow them plants harvest and cure and put it in a secure place and enjoy.

I'm in Massachusetts and grow 6 plants but can also grow 12 with 2 adults living in the same residents, as far as I have read you're allowed the 10 oz or whatever you yield from a personal grow. Anything over an 1oz has to be kept in a locked place.
