    This state is messed up

It's incredible how few people understand this. I get the impression that there are a lot of people "waiting for the program to start" who don't realize just how active it already is, and who certainly don't realize that a lot of growers are expected to kill their plants and toss thousands of...

For you AZ boys. What's your drying method?

If that were true, dispensary agents would be setting the tone for the removal of the 25-mile rule, i.e., refusing to operate if it means they are being forced to do so at the cost of others' rights. I'm not hearing one single peep of advocacy for patients.

    nut burn i think

It might be Mg deficiency. This is something that only experience really helps with. Lots of deficiencies and lockouts look similar. But one of the more common things if you're using RO water is Mg deficiency which looks like what you describe. But nute burn (Nitrogen overload) also looks...

Preferred Grow Shops in the Valley

It's a small shop but Happy Harvesters at 202 and Arizona Ave in Chandler has always cut a square deal for me.

Has anyone heard of or used eMarijaunaclones.com???????

I think it's illegal to sell clones. I wish there was a more certain future for individual cultivation in AZ. Clones should be traded patient-to-patient for free. For Jah sake it's a surplus resource. Why would you charge for something that you could give away because you're going to cull it...

Anyone else heard that you need to renew your card by July 10?

In California, the existence of dispensaries didn't cancel a pre-existing right that patients had to cultivate.

Cost of 600w HPS in AZ??

The electric cost of the lighting are pretty marginal. What really increases the cost of your electric bill is the fact that you are pumping the air conditioned air out of your house at 450 CFM. Even without the huge amount of exhaust, your air conditioner undoubtedly dominates your electric...

    finger prints

That's nothing. Wait until you have to move to someplace that doesn't actually exist, just to be 25 miles away from any dispensary. I would think that will be a little more expensive than the couple hundred bucks you're complaining about now.

    finger prints

You're lumping some fixed asset costs in with sustaining costs. After your third cycle, almost none of those sunk costs will be significant.

    finger prints

I would not complain about that, but the real estate costs associated with moving to be 25 miles away (from WHERE, and WHEN?) are considerable. It's hard to justify any investment into improving your cultivation when you know that your whole cultivation rights are going to be taken away.

To all the fellow hopefulls.... Another possible wrench

He comprehends the demographics, which clearly show that the beneficiaries of the AZMMA are largely over 50 years old and live in some of the most solidly Republican areas of the state. A MMJ dispensary in Sun City is probably one of the safest bets of the green rush.

Will an AZ Medical Marijuana Card keep you out of jail? Maybe not!

The problem isn't "driving stoned." The problem is that a detectable amount of THC equals DUI. And it's detectable for _months_.

    dispensary tucson

If they can make that rule, they could make it 25 miles from a school. Which would solve the One Big Problem with the AZ MMA. I think you may have just accidentally stumbled onto the loophole that saves patient cultivation for AZ.

What are a patients "grow rights" really worth?

I'm pretty sure grow rights are valued at whatever price you could value eight to ten years in prison. As a starting point, I think that's realistic, considering the alternative. Legal implications aside, I know that cultivation is often as therapeutic as the medicine itself, so grow rights...

Is there a silver lining on the Supremes PPACA ruling

The final draft is not as horribly long as has been claimed by detractors of the law. Legislative publications have very wide margins, so page counts can be misleading. What makes reading the ACA so difficult is also one of the things that gives it so much strength. If you start reading...

I just heard as of 2013 or something they are changing the laws regarding Medical MJ?

Cultivation is at least as therapeutic as consumption. That's all I have to say about it.

Anyone else heard that you need to renew your card by July 10?

Not exactly. The authorization is a special status on your card, giving you a license to cultivate. But the way the law is written, the state cannot grant this license if there is a dispensary operating within 25 miles of the patient's home address, on the day the card is issued or renewed...

Anyone else heard that you need to renew your card by July 10?

Growers will be the ones calling the feds on the dispensaries. Once they are shut down, renew their cards. Has that not occurred to anyone?

Anyone else heard that you need to renew your card by July 10?

Oh, the threat of being thrown in prison together with losing your home to civil asset forfeiture might go a long way toward putting that cork in.

Would you support litigation to remove the 25 mile rule from the AMMA?!

The fact that I got the last word on the topic is very depressing to me. Individual cultivation is over for AZ isn't it?
