I would grow some Blue Dream in there. That way you wouldn't need a carbon filter. They don't smell at ALL. It wasn't until I started growing White Widow that my apartment started smelling like weed all the time. Seriously though, I'm sure there are more strains that aren't stinky.

Its kind of hard to tell, but it doesn't look quite ready yet. wait until about half the hairs are an amber color. The best way to find out for sure is to check the trichomes with a magnifying lens or a jeweler's loupe. Radioshack carries a decent magnifier for like $15.

Wouldn't that 50:50 with African violet soil be too acidic for Cannabis? Perhaps thats it? Check the pH of the soil, man. Or just keep going. I have had seedlings take forever to take off in growth before. As long as its not consuming too much space, I wouldn't give up on it. :)

When you top, you're just discontinuing the growth from the main stem. So it finds different paths to grow upward on the plant. Any spot will do whether its a clone or from seed. As long as you don't take too much off.

Technically, flushing is considered watering the plant with nute-less water with about 3 to 4 times the normal watering amount.

Looks like you're wasting a lot of light. For one, you could probably bring that hood down a bit closer to your plant because you have what appears to be a cool tube. Second, You have no reflective material around her. You could definitely increase your yield if you directed more of that light...

Just make sure that your MH ballast will also run HPS bulbs. Some do not.

Most all HPS bulbs use an E39 socket. Some of the smaller ones use an E26. Your best bet is to get an E39.
