Pure Afghan, Northern Lights & Big Bud - An Indoor and Outdoor Grow Journal

Okay, I figured out why my plants were drooping. It wasn't from over watering or from the light being too high, it was from the temperatures that the tent was reaching during the day when I'm at university and can't regularly check on the plants. It's been peaking at 32-36 degrees Celsius, so...

Pure Afghan, Northern Lights & Big Bud - An Indoor and Outdoor Grow Journal

Hey guys, the plants seem to be doing pretty well! I added some more Coco to cover the stems and lifted the light to around the 3ft mark, however I think this might have caused some drooping ( either that or I've over watered ). I'm thinking of giving it another 5 - 7 days before I start giving...

what do you think is the problem with my seedling

I've been reading conflicting information when it comes to nutes for Coco. Some people have said to start feeding after the seed breaks its shell, others have said don't start feeding until the 3-4 week mark. Could you clear this up for me? Thanks.

what do you think is the problem with my seedling

For coco you want a pH to remain between 5.5 and 6.2 ( I've heard people say 5.5 - 5.8 for veg and 6.0 - 6.2 for flowering ). Do your best to keep the temperature between 22 and 29 degrees. The most cost effective way I've found to knock the temperature down a few degrees is to point a fan...

Few Week Old Plants Yellowing Tips

Rikcherron is right, those plants in the first two pictures are definitely suffering from nutrient burns. I recently had them on my plants too, I flushed with pH balanced water to prevent the burns from spreading any further and cut back on the nutes. They've been recovering for the past 3-4...

Pure Afghan, Northern Lights & Big Bud - An Indoor and Outdoor Grow Journal

Hey guys, here's a quick update. When I checked on the girls this morning a few of the plants leaves had curled up, and after checking the temperature it was sitting around 31-33, which is obviously far too hot. I ended up pulling a large fan out of an old fried power supply and hacked it...

    Projects...

I've been thinking about a project for the up coming university holidays and I've decided to use micro-controllers to allow me to monitor the heat, light intensity, soil moisture, humidity and individual plants in my grow room in real time, all from a web interface. I'll also be incorporating a...

Crazy story. Cock Roaches... Need HELP!!!!

Dude, they're only roaches. Lay down some baits and invest in a can of bug spray and nuke the fuckers when you see them. You don't need to go to the lengths of getting your apartment sprayed unless you start seeing tiny roaches on the move, which means they're breeding. You should see the ones...

Pure Afghan, Northern Lights & Big Bud - An Indoor and Outdoor Grow Journal

Weird, I notice a slight discoloration in the leaves in the pictures which I can't see when looking directly at the plants.. Hopefully it's just the camera.

    The Germination Rate Report Thread

I'd like to give a big ups to marijuana-seeds.nl. Not only did they reship my original order after sending me $60 worth of free seeds by mistake, but they didn't even ask me to reimburse them or mail any of the seeds back. Their discrete shipping is absolutely fantastic! Apparently Australian...

First Hydroponic Grow - Having Some Issues with Seedlings

The plants seem to have responded really well to the flushing I did this morning! Their leaves were originally horizontal but now they're reaching up for the lights. :D Hopefully we'll have a full recovery!

First Hydroponic Grow - Having Some Issues with Seedlings

Man, funnily enough I've never even seen bag seed! I guess I'm fortunate to have friends with quality product. Soaking the plants from the bottom up to let the top dry out first is a great idea! I'm definitely going to start doing that as of the next watering. :D I noticed some nute burns on a...

First Hydroponic Grow - Having Some Issues with Seedlings

Wow, thank you for taking the time to write such a great post! I'll definitely be buying CFL's tomorrow to put the seedlings under; I didn't realise they were so cheap. The humidity cup idea is also fantastic idea! Haha, it's reassuring to know that somebody else nuked a few of their seedlings...

First Hydroponic Grow - Having Some Issues with Seedlings

Hey guys, I'm having some trouble with my seedlings. This is my first hydroponic grow so advice and constructive criticism is more than welcome! I tested the pH this morning and noticed it was 7.2, when it should be in the range of 5.5 - 6.5. I purchased some pH up and down and adjusted the pH...
