Do you prefer quantum boards or strips?

I planned to chop these down and go from cut to get a better structure on them. But it was my first go with LED so I flipped them instead to see what they could do with plants which would have been too tall for HID. The top buds were right by the bars and would have been fried under a HPS in a...

Do you prefer quantum boards or strips?

Have you ever grown with strips? I had solid buds 2 feet down from a bridgelux strip build and it was only 320w You can also run strips hard or more of them and soft, and you'll see the difference on the meter at about 2ft down.

LED Watts /sq ft - feedback on the lumen overload

There's always a sweet spot and it's environment dependent. Your plants will show you what it is, so pay attention to them. In veg, for example, if you notice the leaves doing anything other than praying upward and lush growth with that fountain effect from the top, then you're not in the sweet...

The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

Thats still a nice yield. RH being too high won't cause your plants to not produce trichomes. And I doubt changing the lights will make any difference. You got any pictures?

You grow a single auto in a 2x2 and get 10oz of bud with zero trichomes?

The Chinese Quantum Board Knock Off Builds

I'm stuck for something to fit into my last little bit of space and have been chatting with someone at R2T on Ali. I need to make something about 80-90cm square and at the minute it seems these Rockbars are my best option. They're perfect for my space size wise and he rates them at 2.67umol/j...

    Which approach will win?

I didn't even know I had a profile, but I started growing well over a year ago. I started with led not so long ago tho so I'm still a freshie there. The light.. Not lights... Light you're referring to is estimated at 6 inches from measuring point. The geekbeast is measured at 12 inches I...

    Which approach will win?

And that's it right there.. Nothing will dampen the sound of your breaking heart when your plants get led stress under your brand new 20k lighting rig and turn to autumn twigs

    Which approach will win?

Ok let's break this down.. You've got $2k of LED money burning a deep red hole in your pocket. You can get 1 "top end" light for that money and start saving for your next one. You do a grow with it and get 1.5gpw. After your first grow you invest in another, or maybe two. Then after the second...

    Nutrient Lockout?

What you've got there is classic led stress. The further away your lights are and the hotter your room is, the more rapid the turnaround will be. Nice to see it getting back to health. Keep us posted

    Which approach will win?

It's only a no brainer if you've overlooked the possibility that the premise for this point is entirely bollocks. With all due respect brother, you've made the completely blind assumption that you get 100 grams (nice round figure I must admit) per grow and then if you take that and multiply it...

    Which approach will win?

Without China and the rest of the far east, where are your builders getting their parts? Besides, both of these problems are solved by the magic of the internet and the option to check out with fellow growers before you buy stuff. If you can't do the due dilligence to read for 10 minutes or...

    Which approach will win?

From my limited experience in this subject, having pulled a gpw on my first run with LEDs that I built myself with the help of the good people on this forum, and now just pulled 1.4 gpw on my second, and having read all the data from the various providers of this technology, the only reason...

    Nutrient Lockout?

You don't have light burn, you have light stress. They're very different things. Light stress comes about when for whatever reason the plant can't process the available light. Continue to give it that much light while it's in a state of stress and you just weaken it further. Light burn is...
