Read up at Yield-O-Rama. A 1000w light will cover more area and penetrate much deeper into the canopy than a 600w. This is especially important if you intend to grow 'em tall. I grow mine short and bushy, as the larger and wider the canopy the more efficient. Its simple, the light only...

Stoney: These ARE for like 2-10 plants tops... they don't make all that much UVB really. And, theyre only like 50$ shipped.

Obviously Mylar is a far superior reflective surface..... Just look at a piece of mylar and then look at the paint. Which one hurts your eyes more? ;)

He said he uses more than 3kW.... How in the hell could the electric company know whether you're cooking a turkey dinner or growing pot? A microwave probably sucks up a good 1100w, your tv is atleast 500w, your computer? 900w+ with monitor...

Knally: Great pics and great looking plants, man. Those are some chronic roots! I've been wanting to build a cloner, but haven't wanted to lay out the money for an aeroponic pump. I might have to pick up a fogger and tupperware soon, that looks really great.

NL: Definately man, I'd have gone with that one but they said you needed a UV meter or had to work at a zoo or something... I dunno, smoked one too many, but I figure any of the bigger MV reptile bulbs put out plenty for experimental purposes anyhow. Keep us posted on how it goes, should churn...
