If you are using hydroponics, adding a few airstones will kill any existing root rot, and prevent future rot from appearing. If you are using soil, I have no idea, sorry. I have heard of people using hydrogen peroxide, but haven't used it personally. D0z3r

Two things you can do: 1: Cover the rockwool with visqueen or other opaque plastic, and the algae will die. 2: Buy some BioCat and add it to your nutrient solution wrapped in a cheesecloth. (that's what I use, and it kills algae dead, fast.)

If spraying it on the foliage doesn't harm the plants, then spraying on soil likely wont either. That said, spraying on the top of the soil may only kill larvae that make it to the surface, and probably will have little effect on eggs. Overfertilization("Nute Burn"). Generally, less fertilizer is better until you get a feel for what your girls are after. Flush with a very mild nutrient solution if you're using hydro. If dirt, I'm not sure mate. You may be screwed. Sorry to be the messenger.
