Personally I think it's getting too much water. Cotyledons look like that when the roots are struggling to get oxygen in my experience. I keep my soil just barely damp enough. I actually let the soil go dry for a day and let the soil get some oxygen, even better if you have a little air flow...

Are you watering with fertilizer or nutrients? . If so I'd thin out your mixture a little bit. Are you using tap water?
