how do you know when nuits are used up

I chopped some early shoots from the bottom of plant without flushing, hung bud upside down for a week, placed in jar for one week, took a puff and it tasted gross, tasted like I was smoking miracle grow, so I now flush all the time. My last plant I flushed well and my friends complimented how...

    Schultz Plant Food

I've used it from veg to flower, worked great in soil, buds were stinky skunky smelling, it did not burn at all and used it every other watering.

Is anyone in upstate ny flowering?

When did you put the plants outside, did you grow from seed? I feel we might get some cold temps next week, hopefully no frost, but they can take a few frosts, my one plant did in april and may. So, most indica strains take about eight weeks once they start to bud to finish, sativa dominant may...

    1st outdoor grow upstate NY

roots will stay warmer then the top of the plant, so flush away. I worry more about a light rain/drizzle that freezes on the buds in the night or early morning, supposedly next week much colder air is coming down from the north, hope this forecast fizzles. haven't checked on the ladies in three...

My indicas are halfway done, put one in the ground and one in a 5gal bucket. Purple hairs are sure pretty...

Is anyone in upstate ny flowering?

Got three females, been out since early june. All three plants budding, the indica is more than halfway done, the sative dominant plant's buds are taking their sweet ass time, and the other indica is halfway done. Temps at night have been getting down to low 50's, even high 40's. I am going to...

Guess the strain/genetics, only three-leaf sets, skinny and short leaves??????????

I don't know how that is possible, I have been giving nutes since it was three to four weeks old. It is very healthy, very green, no signs of any deficiencies. It just has three-bladed leaves?? I have read somewhere that a certain strain named "Lavender" is similar, anyone ever hear of this? She...

Guess the strain/genetics, only three-leaf sets, skinny and short leaves??????????

Have an outdoor plant of unknown bagseed, it is strange looking, only three-leaf sets, big plant-six feet plus-but no big five, seven, nine, or eleven blade fan leaves. Just skinny leaves, sativa looking, three-blade leaf sets. Anyone ever have a similar strain and if so, does it have a name...

Any luck with sativa in Northeast??

I don't have pics, my camera phone has no cord to connect to internet and my digital camera is broke. I will just move her to the backyard come october and take her in at night if it comes down to it, she is so pretty. I finished a bagseed indica in eight weeks flat, got over two and one half...

yeah, don't trim fan leaves. you can top the plant but please don't cut fan leaves, they do all the work for the plant. more fan leaves equal bigger buds. please read a faq on growing before you kill your hoe, peace

Outdoor in NY and have some questions (with Pics)

The pot looks too small for the plant, maybe rootbound, get a bigger pot to transplant in, preferably ten gallon. Use good soil and don't overwater, only water every four to six days, weed likes to fully dry out in between waterings. peace

Outdoor in NY and have some questions (with Pics)

Hi, I'm in NY state as well. Yes we got alot of rain but lately things have been shaping up nicely. I have three hoes outside, one was put out in march, another april and yet another in June. One in a 10 gallon pot, one in a five gallon and one in the ground for experimentation. My biggest hoe...

    Heat? PH? Something else?

Oh, and six inch pots for a plant that size are probably too small, I would re-pot in at least a five gallon pot. I have a plant that is 24inches in a ten-gallon pot and the roots fill the whole pot. Peace.

    Heat? PH? Something else?

Re-using old miracle grow soil is probably not a great idea. It will contain old roots and nutes and could harm your plant. I would buy some Foxfarm original or at least some new potting soil and transplant it. The old soil contains sodium from old nutes and other contaminants that could harm...

    Confused about flushing

When you flush you use enough water to fill the pot and let it drain out altogether. It is a one time thing, once you flush you let the plant go without watering until it needs it again. I suggest a moisture meter, picked one up a Lowe's for five dollars. If your soil has nutes in it already, a...
