SWEET AS :) :) :) !!! 3X 3.7" CPU Fans and my 250W MH has the rooms ambient temp BANG ON 26oC !! :) :) :) Couldn't be happier :D.. Just noticed the Mercury level is sitting at the wrong height on the cheapy analog Thermometer..still thats easy enough to get sorted :)..I am still ecstatic "26oC"...

UPDATE .................AT LAST :) !!! I just added this small CFL (Green)..but the little fucker blew after about 5 mins :( .. so I have ordered a couple of better quality green lights I got myself a pair of LUMII Grow-Room Glasses..so I dont fry my eyes whilst looking at the HID...

Yeah ORCA Film is mega reflective and bright! :) :) ..But also crazy expensive :( lol, I too prefer the look of Diamond Mylar ..but I am being won over by just how much brighter ORCA film makes the grow-room and that can only be good :) and it'll allow us to pull more weight ..from the same...

As far as I know, the UV-B tubes are available in 2.0 , 6.0 , 10.0 , and now I have learn't of a 12.0 tube as well... I have used a 10.0 before in my old Cab.. but if anyone can tell me exactly how much UV-B (wattage) I should be using and the at what strength etc... that'd be great and really...

Yes! indeed I have :) :) :) .. I have an 18" fixture, but need to down size it so the cab can accomodate it... I do need to work out just how much UV-B light will be needed for the area it needs to cover...and I am guessing the "10.0" are the strength UV-B lamps that I'll need. I will focus on...

Hi, I'am still in the throws of building my 'mini-cab' .. and still need to get some 3.7" Aluminium Ducting (getting some is much harder than I thought) ..to connect up the DIY 3.7" Cool-Tube. Basically and in short : I have 2 air-rigs.. 1) cooling the cool-tube , 2) venting the cab connected...

Yeah..its cos its a digital ballast and a lamp thats meant for digital ballasts...if I used a EYE Hortilux lamp (meant for Magnetic Ballasts) on the Lumatek digital ballast ..it would still appear to flicker when caught on camera due to the different operating frequency ....same would happen if...

UPDATE :- This is the 3.7" CPU fan I took apart and modified.. this will be used as a coller on the right hand-side of the ducting (so the power cable can exit the Cooltube without interfering with the ducting :) My 250W SunMaster Dual Spectrum lamp came...but I am gonna hold out for...

The Sun Master Dual Spec HPS lamps seem to offer high peaks for both Blue, Yellow, and Reds (see LINK) !? ...maybe it'd be best to stick with this... and possibly add the KESSIL 150W Red LED thing as well..thoughts ?? - ZTELTHY :leaf:

Whilst this is true, would the reflector being 'Red Mylar/Blue Mylar' assist the reflected light in achieving a wider spectrum, As well as reflecting the red/blue output from the lamp its-self...perhaps in theory like having the added spectrum of LED's (HID reflected on Colored Mylar) shining...

I think you maybe right!? ..I wonder if the idea would work though in theory (altering spectrum for better even though less overall light is reflected) ...cos in small grow ops the lamp underneath the reflector will still produce enough light for the grow.. I just wonder if the added color from...

Hi Ztelthy here, I was just thinking since Blue spectrum is required for Veg, and Red spectrum for Flower.. would it be beneficial in any way to have say a metallic Blue or Aqua Blue coloured reflective metal reflector for Vegging (as well as a 250w 6500k Metal Halide)...and a Red Tinted metal...
