A lot of strains won't reach maximum potency if they forced to bud from day one. Clones are different since the clone is technically as old as the mother plant. You won't get as good of quality (not fully developed) or yield either. There is exceptions to the rule though.

I just saw the 3' - 4' plants. It is a bad idea with T5' s. The light just doesn't penetrate past the first foot or so. I have to use CFL's all around the plants and from the bottom and they are only like 2' with a lot of bending.
