what is advanced nutrients sensi zym?

I'm not sure what I can add to the label, it seems pretty clear to me. It's an enzyme. It breaks things down into more simple parts. So dead roots, mold, pretty much anything that isn't a plant gets chopped up into bite-sized bits the plants can gobble up. At least that's how it works as...

    PH issues with Advanced Nutrients

Dude, you can't let your res get like that. You gotta dump all that nasty stuff out and clean the rez completely. Bleach, lots of H2O2, both... something. If you don't kill every last bit of that growth in there it will just keep coming back. If you want to stick with Advanced Nutrients you...

    My first real grow

I agree with Kriegs. I'm not sure I'd chop 5 plants to save 1. I'd consider 6 plants of seedy bud better than one seedless. But what you did isn't "wrong", it's just a matter of personal preference. Some would do it that way, some would do it differently. Live, learn, and grow again.

    PH issues with Advanced Nutrients

Flush thoroughly first off. I wouldn't be surprised if KP2 is right about trouble with the FF and AN stuff playing well together. Once you finish that mix up a fresh batch of nutes with an extra gallon more than you want to put in the res. Keep that extra gallon nearby so you have roughly the...

Advanced Nutrients Overdrive VS. Atomi Bloombastic

    Any update on this experiment?

Could someone RECOMMEND some really good veg Nutrients PLEASE??

Says the guy with the Fox Farms avatar... dave.b, I recommend always undercutting anyone's calculator or feed chart a little to be safe. For one thing your bottles last longer that way, but mostly because it easier to up nutes than unburn plants.

    My first real grow

Yup, too true. The trick is to find the middle ground. We all know that more attention and feeding is better than none, but too much is just as bad. There's no denying that proper feeding vastly improves both quality and quantity of yield but it's all too easy to fall victim of the "if some...

Experience with Shooting Powder Flower Stimulator?

This is one of those places where the adage "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" rings true. Proper aeration and management of a beneficial micro-herd makes the most difference. I've fought back bad growth with enzymatics like Sensizym but the best success I've had is to avoid the...

Advanced Nutrients Overdrive VS. Atomi Bloombastic

I definitely want to hear how this turns out. Just so I understand it right, you're saying that so far it looks like the Bloombastic has grown slightly larger buds but less dense than the Overdrive, right? So it's likely that they're still around the same weight?

Could someone RECOMMEND some really good veg Nutrients PLEASE??

I agree, Advanced Nutrients makes a really good line of nutes. I use and recommend them.

    Canna Nutrients

Yeah, they make good nutes I'm not saying they don't. I just like and think Advanced Nutrients are better.

    My first real grow

Looks like it could be heat stress, what's your temps like? Also, try to think of anything that might have changed during the move, pH, ppm, etc. Anytime there's a change in your plants look at whatever you might have done differently in the last few days.

Experience with Shooting Powder Flower Stimulator?

Yeah, I never heard of using it at the end. Advanced Nutrients calculator says to use it week 1 and nothing else. McNea it sounds like you got a bacterial or fungal growth at the same time. I haven't had any trouble like that so I'd say its probably coincidence.

    Canna Nutrients

Just because someone's been doing it longer doesn't mean they do it better. Who's been making cars longer, Ford or Honda? Who makes better cars? Doesn't matter. Because how long you've been doing something only matters if it's something you can brag about in a commercial. How well you do...

    175 ppm? is that bad

I can't see how you'd be burning them at that ppm, and since I can tell the difference between hydroton and soil I know it's unlikely you've got significant salt build-up. Is it hitting the older leaves first or the newer ones? My guess is it would be from either a deficiency or pH induced...

Growing my first ever white widows for under $150

Well you can use AN's stuff in soil just as easily as you can in hydroponics. There's no rule that says it won't work that way (the other way around is less true. Most soil nutes don't work as well in hydroponics.) In fact, Advanced Nutrients actually recommends growing in Sunshine Mix #4...

Experience with Shooting Powder Flower Stimulator?

That's actually been my experience - properly cured you can't really tell the difference. And the reason the chemical salts build up quicker is because a lot of companies cut corners on the salts they choose, using cheaper, less soluble salts. I've actually found it difficult to build up any...

    Rockwool??????

Nothing wrong with their 3 part. And the labeling thing isn't confined to AN. None of them gets it right for everyone, they can't. Everyones plants are different. You gotta start out light no matter what bottles you use.

Growing my first ever white widows for under $150

I'd say that the concept of a top quality fertilizer and it being available at Lowes or Home Depot are kind of mutually exclusive. If you want anything really worth using you'll have to upgrade your shopping location. That Advanced Nutrients TheRuiner pointed out is good stuff, probably the...
