The first thing you might want to do is get another light or two, but bonsai plants are pretty much just LST to the max as far as i understand it. Same light schedule as a normal plant and everything. And instead of the tinfoil try to get mylar.

If your worried about the money part you'll be fine with just moving strait to the 5 gallon pot.

How cold is the room?

If its only 5% now then I would say to just wait until you come back, unless the trichs look better on Thursday

Damn I have purple mazar also but I decided to plant my Jet 47. I am only one day behind your mazar so it will be fun to see my jet47 grow with yours lol. And ill know what to look forward to when I decide to plant the purple mazar.
