Definitely go with the DR120. If you end up with another shitty ebay or amazon tent you are going to hate it im sure. Plus when the roof supports give out and your light falls on your plant and catches your house on fire....you'll be wishing you spent another 100 bucks for a good tent.

Hah if you are in brooklyn i'd move to cali. Going from good ol bk to a place like colorado might be a shock to you man. As long as you can get a mmj card in cali you are all good...if not move up to mendocino county where it doesnt matter either way.

Only reason im looking at the 1000Whps and 400W MH option is because i found a good deal on CL. If im buying brand new im just gonna do a 1000W switchable.

I'm actually thinking of doing option 2.....interested to see the input from others here. Only bad thing about option 1 is having to buy 2 fans.

I'm only using one tent for now but i feel like vegging under 1000W mh might be a bit too much? and this way in the future maybe i wont have to go out and buy another light fixture for a second tent.

The title says it all. I can buy a 1000W hps/mh light setup for 365 or i can buy a 1000W hps setup and a 400W MH setup for 325. Will a 400W MH be enough to veg like 10 plants?

Is the ballast for the 400W switchable you could always run one tent with a 400W mh for veg and the other tent with a 600W hps for flower.

Its definitely not behind. You have to remember you are going to see ALOT of growth over the next 30 days.

I guess the 400 would work but you wouldnt be able to utilize the full 4X4. There wouldnt be enough canopy penetration and i dont think the footprint from the 400 would cover it correctly. Its doable though...you would have some spare room around the tent and what not.

Alright thanks I'll look into that. I was originally just going to get a whole kit fro HTG supply for my first grow and then after that upgrade all the peices over time....but for what i want with their 1000W kit it comes out to like 1070 shipped.

Ahh not bad. The local shop must be carrying the DR150 II. Explains the price difference. I'll be running a 1000W MH/HPS combo tho. Sorry for thread jacking. To the OP....600W is recommended for a 4X4 grow area.

Hey tent guys. Quick question before i place my order and become a member of your club. Is the secret jardin really worth the money...or should i go with a cheaper 5X5 tent and spend the extra money elsewhere (nicer ph/ec meter, nicer 1000W light setup)?

Yeah im not worried about them getting heat signature from up top because there are two floors above my apartment. My concern was if they were flying to the side of the building (which i dont think they could get close enough with a chopper to see) would they see the tent glowing on FLIR...

How much did you pay for the DR150? Cheapest i can find it is in the high 300's.

So if one was to grow in a city where there are police choppers out and about alot...and happened to live on the 9th floor of a building and the room that was being grown in has floor to ceiling windows...think the heat signature from a 5X5 tent with a 1000W light be a give-away?
