    Blue Cheese Big Buddha

Removed affected leaves, seems to be recovering, and added some Gypsum (Calcium sulphate) to address the calcium magnesium ratio. I think flooding the soil with Epsom Salts temporarily locked out the calcium, which probably explains why CalMag is a two part amendment..

    Epsom Salts lockout

Thanks everyone, I trimmed away the affected leaves and the plant seems to be returning to normal, I've just added some Gypsum (Calcium Sulphate) to redress the magnesium/calcium balance, I'm convinced it was caused by adding the Epsom salts without taking into account the drop in calcium...

    Flower time for Auto

10 weeks light on 24/7 is about right for most autos in my experience.

Large study shows no correlation between psychedelic use and mental illness

Taking hallucinogens is a great way to mess with your reality, and to confuse yourself, from experience its a 'really' bad idea, you are more likely to experience the horrors than a spiritual experience, especially if you are already anxious and depressed, so don't do it, don't listen to the...

    Epsom Salts lockout

Can the addition of Epsom Salts for its Magnesium cause other deficiencies? I just read somewhere there should be a magnesium calcium ration of 10 to 1 so not sure if I've altered the balance. I think its addition to my soil has negatively impacted the plant, not badly but the leaves don't look...

My first organic grow. Only used water and microbes

They look amazing. Are they natural colours of the strain or did you do something to bring it out?

    Blue Cheese Big Buddha

I've turned the light down to 25% to encourage stretch, to try and fill the tent faster, I'm almost out out of smoke so its going into flower next weekend like it or not. I'm not sure if it was the epsom salt, the foliar and soil fed seaweed, or the chitosan, but something has made the leaves...

    Beginner looking for some insight

    Sounds like over fed anyway.

    Let’s talk about plant size

I only have experience growing Cannabis indoors in grow tents. Over the years as I've gained confidence that I'll achieve a harvest, and having no desire to sell commercially, I've been able to downsize and still meet my needs. Saving space. I'm now growing a Blue Cheese, by Big Buddha, its...

Spider mites what should I use.

I take it you are trying to avoid detergents altogether because its a chemical rather than natural product? I just use what works cheapest because I can't afford to be selective and know it does no harm from experience.

    Biochar

Interesting thanks, I'm guessing that will be to do with the exchange of ions or something similar I don't fully understand..

    Biochar

Thanks for that, I learn so much here. I've not even purchased Biochar before so wasn't even sure of its, texture, so I assumed it is like coal. I'll give it a try at the rate you recommended thanks.

    Biochar

I'd like to know if Biochar can also replace Perlite, as in does it have similar oxygen storing capacity, plus provide a warm cosy home for all the microscopic little creatures that want to move in?

Spider mites what should I use.

Neme oil I purchased on eBay came by itself without an emulsifier, just as well by the sound of it. Just use ordinary washing up liquid, its a doddle, add one drop at a time and stir it up until it goes cloudy. It will also help stick to the leaves. If that doesn't work maybe its not Neme oil...

Spider mites what should I use.

I can't vouch for Citric Acid but I can for Neme oil at about one teaspoon per half a litre of warm tap water, it will dispersed into the water with a few drops of dish soap otherwise you are probably wasting your time. I spray it under all the leaves where they live, but basically everywhere...

    Blue Cheese Big Buddha

I've been bowl training, selective defoliating, and topping this Blue Cheese by Big Buddha to create a low and relatively flat canopy, its 7.5 inches tall and about 2 ft wide. Seven weeks from seed (surfaced 22/7/21). Hardly any stretch so won't be needing the scrog. I'm using a known short...

    Your help once again.

My stardawg used to go like that, heat stress caused fox tailing, then soon after a few male pollen sacks would appear, so keep your eye on it.

Does a mother plant need a tent?

Unlikely because a clone of a clone of a clone is still an exact replica of the original clone. Weakened genetics is a theory not a fact, I've not seen any evidence for it. You can induce severe plant mutations (temporary) just by re-vegging a clone of a flowering bud, someone likely did that...

    Grow plants separately just incase?

You can keep them together until they show sex. The pollen sacks take a while to mature so nothing will be pollinated for a while even when you can see them. So check regularly and you will be fine.
