    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

I've been tempted to try one of these. seems like the simplest way to make a SIP. price is kind of steep normally tho. Will def grab some if they ever go on sale.

    SIP thread -- (Sub-Irrigated Planter)

seems like a cool setup, but also a lot more complicated than most of the designs in this thread. if you are on a budget, 2 lowes 5 gal buckets, some pvc and a solo cup as your wick is under $20 (prob closer to 10). or Rubbermaid totes if you can find a good deal provide a little more surface...

    PGR's, Yay or Nay?

kelp also contains natural pgrs. literally no reason to use the synthetics unless you are lazy and greedy.

New light Build. 600W H series Arrow special Samsung

I never though about putting cased drivers into them, I was looking for something to put those 30W Samsung drivers into since they are bare. I definitely would worry about putting meanwells in there and them getting too hot. What if you wired up a little PC fan at each end to force the...

New light Build. 600W H series Arrow special Samsung

I love the idea. I've thought about getting these before: https://www.aspectled.com/products/led-power-supply-enclosure-xl also my dog gets big mad if I do that. she will stamp her feet, huff, and then glare at me til I move everything off the couch.

Vertical/stacked shelving grows indoor small scale?

I gave up on it halfway thru like I said, and just got a 2nd tent. As long as you have access to everything it should be fine. get a good stepstool so you can reach the 2nd shelf and lights easily do you should be good. I just remembered I also did have a different setup where I used a 4.5'...

    4x4 tent light

480W of Samsung LM301B/H diodes or EB Gen3. Older gen strips can be found for a fraction of the cost but require a bit of increase to make up for efficiency loss so figure 600W if you use older diodes. if you are up for a DIY experience and have basic electrical skills, a decent set of tools...

Flowering half day indoors-half day outdoors-discussion

dont quote me on it but I'm going to guess it's the tiny bit of stress you are adding by swapping them between microclimates every day. is your inside temps/rh the same as out in your yard?

Bridgelux Vesta super tuneable strip build

As much as I love all the amazing fixtures, I think it's time for what we love even more - the results! Flower day 30 I slowly decreased 5000k by 10w each week and bumped the 2700k by 15w. This weekend I unplugged the 5000k and 2700k is up to 175w. Super excited. These things staaaank.

Vertical/stacked shelving grows indoor small scale?

I tried it. I grow short plants in @ 40" vertical. got an 83" tent, had 2 40" shelf in there. I used HLG QB288s run at 50W so I can get them super close. with right strain and growing from clones it it definitely possible height wise. biggest issue that you will run into is higher humidity...

opinion on these led strips please

tbh that voltage range is a little bit tough to find a match for strips. the M you found seem like the best match /deal on Arrow at the moment. not sure if that's the best price on them tho. when clearance mode kicks in pretty sure those have gone for less. the original influx linear L04 and...

I know they work great, the friend I will give these to hasn't been growing as long as me but he has awesome success w them outdoors. Indoors I always let them get too dry, and when I did water them it was just always a mess w lots to cleanup after. I even like the plastic grow bags better...

what table stand will fit in a 3x3 tent

if that's not strong enough you could use NSF wire shelf like this one. it will be a tight fit one direction but should work fine. https://www.webstaurantstore.com/metro-3036nc-super-erecta-chrome-wire-shelf-30-x-36/4613036NC.html I've gotten 48" shelfs like that into a 4x4. it might be...
