how long till i can actually use it?

I'm trying to make a compost out of things i might have around the house...but i'm not sure what i should use...what would be some things i could use? eggshells, fruit peels, etc..? This is going to be my first grow in soil but i want to make my own soil

if i started plants now would they flower by the time the days get longer? I'm way down on the bottom of the U.S. and it doesn't get TOO cold...highs at about 74 low at about 50....how does that sound?

Bad news....had to get rid of the plant due to the location... Plan to start new grow tomorrow... Got some good bag seeds... I'm gonna use the old aerogarden for this one... Keep a lookout for it

Also i think i may have to move the box outside for the night and its supposed to be about 30 degrees...do you think if i turn the fan off and let the light heat the box it will be able to survive a night outside? It will be in a shed but the shed is not insulated or anything

i would first suggest to move them in as close as possible to the fan leaves...like around one to two inches.
