AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

TB, Thanks for keeping the info flowing on the thread, Atomizer and Mike its good to see you guys around here as well. My system is shut down for the blasted brutal summer so I wont have much to offer for the next few months (it could be argued whether I'll have anything to offer next season...

Testing the Aerolife True HPA AA (Air Atomized) System -First run

Sniff!!! mmmmmmm... Smells like a spring rose, keep those brain farts coming!

Testing the Aerolife True HPA AA (Air Atomized) System -First run

TB, for this run, I ran straight RO until my plants rooted. I just added nutrients last night at an EC of around 800. A couple of tricks I use is to remove some of the empty net pots so that my mist travels from the chamber up into the canopy area inside my humidome. With this method my...

Testing the Aerolife True HPA AA (Air Atomized) System -First run

Thanks for following the thread Ester, I actually came to the conclusion that my main problem was low nutrient levels. I was running an ec of around 700 approximately 360ppm which was fine for early clones in my cloner, however once I transferred them there was a complete lack of nutrients in...

Testing the Aerolife True HPA AA (Air Atomized) System -First run

TB, just found your new thread. I knew it was only a matter of time before you took the plunge to AA. I am curious as to how the siphon/gravity fed nozzles are going to work for you. At one point fatman suggested I run siphon fed delevan nozzles but I opted for my current nozzles as I feel I...

Can someone tell me why a ton of crap on my thread was deleted??? Point me to the one responsible so I can piss on their loafers.

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

I think I actually need more nozzles in that larger chamber because by the time the mist got to the roots it had become more of a fog rather than the appropriate sized droplets. I am going to try a few different things. The plants in the smaller clone chamber are doing fine although the timing...

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

I have an air compressor tank mounted to an oil less compressor which supplies compressed air to one side of my nozzle. My nozzle also requires compressed liquid which is supplied by my fluid pump and accumulator and runs into the opposite side of the same nozzle. This is repeated with all...

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

??? My nozzles will not work without the addition of air into the chambers. They utilize air pressures between 30-60 PSI and fluid pressures between 40-70. I don't need to source a separate supply of atmospheric air to feed my chambers O2.

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

Here is a little update on the condition of my clones. The ones closest to the nozzles look pretty good but the ones in the center tend to brown due to lack of mist penetration. I believe the spacing in this rig is 3" O/C which is great for cloning but way to tight for normal growth. I try to...

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

Thanks guys, I just wish I had more time to play with the system. Work and family has me pretty busy these days. Im barely able to make time to adjust PH. I upped my clone chamber to an ec of 1050 today, Ill let you know how it goes. I am getting fuzzies and the roots look much more decent...

I try to keep it as sanitary as possible and the res water definitely shows.

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

O2 levels in an aeroponic chamber is definitely not off topic. I personally have not concerned myself with my own levels because I know I am adding more cubic feet of O2 in my system than any other system I am aware of. I actually do aerate my res but not for the additional dissolved O2. I...

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

Thanks for the detailed description of your rig and your support as well. From what you described we are using the same nozzles. The air and fluid caps on my nozzles are also interchangeable and variable. My deepest chamber is 36" but I have yet to test it. I like your idea of incorporating...

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

I'm not sure I completely follow your design. Is your water tray there only to create an area for air stones to introduce O2 into the chamber? If that is the case I'm not too sure It would make a huge difference in the O2 taken in by the roots. I am not too sure what levels of O2 are required...

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

The roots growing up top are definitely from the humidome. The rooting hormone is 2 year old Clonex that has changed colors from purple to dark grey. I normally leave my Clonex and H2O2 in the refrigerator but this bottle I found in an old misc hydro box last month and I figured I'd see if it...

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

I agree that it is probably a combination of incorrect droplet size along with uneven distribution of mist. However, the only reason to second guess this hypothesis is the fact that I can over saturate the chamber to the extent that I have plenty of water coalescing into droplets on the roots...
