I think you are partially right but I now believe my problem has been having to add ph down to try and maintain 5.8 thus driving up the ppm. I did some reading from Ed Rosenthal . I think I will be fine running pH levels between 6.3 and 6.8 which I could easily do without adding alot of pH down,

Ok...did a nute change. Added h2o2, added ice bottles to chill temps and put in 2 more air inputs. Looks about 95% better. The test will be after being under 12 hours of light

Well its been about 13 hours since my discovery of my wilted plant. In those 13 hours I have, flushed and changed the nutes, added h2o2, and learned to see in the dark thus adding cold ice bottles to the solution. The plant is about 95% back to normal...the test is to see how she looks after...

To be honest i was asking because I let the D.O. get too low in my hydro solution. Seems to be less info on the scenario. Either way...things are looking better in less than 13 hours

I'm only using GH 3-part and having to add a samll bit of pH down daily. I have nevr used H2O2 until this morning when I suspected low oxygen levels. I also added 2 more air inputs and chilled the water down. I doubt I will continue using peroxide but I am hoping it would give it a temporary...

Yeah..keeping it at 5.8 It may go up to 6.1 or so but I try to keep it in range.

Even though I would have been glad to save my money and make one...I just felt better buying one built for my fan and room size. You could spend "x" amount of $ making your own..but you do run a chance of it being to much (heat can't escape) or too little (smell escapes).
