Mine took 6 hours once. The root went in at about 2cm. The seed came up with the stem tho. So its different i guess.

Lights wont speed the process up. Firstly, are they bag seed? What color were they?

Its not really my grow. Its a situation I'm in for a bet. I would never really attempt a grow like this :D. Im just wondering, about topping, because I'm starting in flowering straight away. So, do i just do it under the second real node?

Whats ya lighting? And how far away are the lights from the plants?

Ive got a 12/12 grow from seed, in a very very small space, (11 inches high :-|). My questions are. Should i still top this plant? Or just grow one large bud? and what if it outgrows the box? I guess i could put the 2 lights on the sides, but, it would hit the roof pretty soon.

Thats a nice plant. Its really growing outward. Its because of your ample lighting, its not needing to stretch to attain light. You could raise your lights if you want height, but keep it growing like that, its real pweetty.

That is AWESOME. You can get a pretty good perpetual harvest going there my friend!

No... Roots are white, plant it in soil with the root on the bottom. So the root can dig down into the soil.

Sunlight is roughly 10,000 lumens per sq ft. So i think its pretty hard to get close to that, and considering sunlight is in almost all spectrum's I don't think you can have too much light :D. But, 2000w HPS for a few plants is overkill on your electricity bill!

I can see I'm not the only person sexually aroused by growing outdoors this year :D

If you are really that worried about germination. Follow the paper towel method, then when the seed sprouts, you will know if its viable or not. Ive just had one white widow seed crack open, with the root just coming out after 36 hours.
