this is probably just some air pockets that developed when the glass was blown for the bulb. It could mean that the bulb is structurally flawed (weak and prone to crack) but it might be fine. I'd use a cool tube structure encloses the bulb so that if it does explode, everything will be just fine.

I've seen 2lbs per plant using 800 watts of HID on an aero setup...1lb per plant via flouro is possible if there is a whole shitload of light...but this is very unlikely. Why would you want to use flouro when HID has more lumen output per watt?

The aerogarden is joke. Check out stinkbud's thread about harvesting a pound every 3 weeks, he includes good schematics on how to build a proper aero system.

You can't re-use them because, as you said already, they stretch. 2" ? Go with 5" and you'll be able to use them until harvest. Sorry guys, camera is broken.
