Tea Brewing Kit Start-Up: Suggestions On Where to Start

Shushee Seaweed? What is this, is it like kelp or ? And unlike kelp you then chop it and allow it to sit in water - for vegging or bloomin. Info please :) Am looking at DIY solutions for Kelp among other things . . .

Critique my recipes. (Soil and Bloom/Veg ACT)

I love the selection of ingredients you've got, as where I'm at, the only thing I've got from your list, is tap water :) I do have lots of high grade vermicast though, as well as fruit bat guano (the blooming kind). I'm also hoping I can make some DIY bone and blood meal - molasses is another...

    What's up with this one?

A HERMIE you say - well, I know they have been mistreated and stressed a lot, due to heavy neglect on the garden owners part, but as he's currently in a wheelchair awaiting months of therapy before he can walk (takes him about 30 minutes to get from his bed and into the chair), it's hard to...

Thanx to both of you - I'll take a chill pill for now :)

    What's up with this one?

Just thought I'd like the experts opinion on this one. Am taking care of a mates garden, while he's recuperating after an intimate encounter with a lamp post. I am supposed to look out for males, but alas, having only ever used feminized seeds and not that many, I'm worried that something is...

HELP ME LEARN HOW TO USE ALOE VERA...PLEASE

Anyone got any good advice for the caring for and cultivation of the plant? I was going to do something with 2/3's gravel and perlite for aeration and the rest something more nutritious. When transplanting, choose a wider pot, rather than a deeper and choose one where the size is at least 4-5...

HELP ME LEARN HOW TO USE ALOE VERA...PLEASE

Nice, so then I will replant them tomorrow, in something like 20% Vermicasts (bloom friendly), a bit of Bat Guano (fruit bat) and the rest Perlite and Gravel, in a wide, but not very deep pot - this is awesome, can't wait to get to trying it out for cloning and as a foliar spray :)

HELP ME LEARN HOW TO USE ALOE VERA...PLEASE

I found these I think three plants, in my friends garden. He's renting a house and they belonged to the previous tenant who left them to die, but despite not being watered for the past 6 months, they still look pretty healthy me thinks. HOWEVER, I don't know for sure, if they are indeed ALOE...

3 homemade Cloners (3x5 2 inch spots) - comments welcome...

I have yet to encounter an Amphibian tank fogger, though we have a fair amount of Amphibians in the garden and house where we grow. I did find fogger's at the local hydro store, but haven't tried them yet - I wanted to add a fogger to my PVC cloner, but the pressure wasn't high enough... I hear...

**EASY DIY $20 BUBBLE CLONER** A PICTURE HOW TO!

Thanks for the pic mate :) It's a bit hard to compare with mine though, as the clones we take are all from vegging plants and furthermore we add both superthrive and clonex cloning solution to the water, so while I got a lot more root mass than you after 10 days, it's a very unfair comparison...

**EASY DIY $20 BUBBLE CLONER** A PICTURE HOW TO!

Well, if one can order them dart nerf things that cheap online, I might try too. For how long can you let it root without issues? I'd like to see a picture of the underside of the lid, with clones in it, after e.g. 5-10 days, to see the root growth... I'll do the same to mine - compare :)

3 homemade Cloners (3x5 2 inch spots) - comments welcome...

FrozenChosen - nice little cloner, though for me it would be hard to re-create here, as I doubt we can get the dart things, except expensively online, but then you never know. The final two cloners above both works fine, EXCEPT that I've changed the water pumps to much smaller models, as the...

    Wavy leaf, your thoughts?

I wonder if it could be an early P deficiency. I got wavy leaves on a plant of mine, I think due to a build up of fertilizer that caused a P deficiency and then the leaves came out all wavy, but my plant was in vegetative growth and about 6+ inches at the time if I remember correctly. Could...

DIY Organic Soil - making do with what we got...

Well yes, I would very much do so... However, first I would need to cut the husks down to size - as I understand it, it's mostly the dust and particles smaller than 2mm that I need. I was thinking get a few husks or maybe the dust and stuff that's left on the floor after a day of coco coir...

DIY Organic Soil - making do with what we got...

Coco Coir I finally found it! However, it's basically just the husk they hand you, so making it useful would entail something like cutting smaller pieces and probably treat them. At least I can get the Raw coco coir now, so that's a step closer...

DIY Organic Soil - making do with what we got...

The problem with the "jungle" here is that they do the classic burn and remove and then they turn the area into rice fields. If there are trees of a certain age, they get valuable and cut down - it's not that I don't understand it, since a lot of people are starving and what not, but it makes...

DIY Organic Soil - making do with what we got...

Well, they've got a lot of interesting stuff that I'd like to try, but shipment here, if they have that, would be more expensive than the items themselves. Checking their shop made me think about making my own crustacean and/or fish meal . . . I had no idea - I mean it kind of makes sense...

DIY Organic Soil - making do with what we got...

Chill and :eyesmoke: I didn't mean anything by it, just that while they may be very useful to others, for the exact purpose of vermicast, I don't need them, plus they probably don't ship over here and hence not so much relevance as I see it, that's all - nothing to get all angry about...

DIY Organic Soil - making do with what we got...

I might get Coco Coir today, HOWEVER, it's interesting to see that you can use horse manure. The problems with the cow manure (and I'm guessing here, as I don't see the actual animal and there's no writing on the bag - it's a cement bag reused)... One problem I have with it, is that some of it...

DIY Organic Soil - making do with what we got...

Thank you for the suggestion and forgive me for sounding harsh, but if I had access to good pre made soil mix, I wouldn't be writing here. There is no such thing as branded pre made soil here, so it's home made local stuff in tied up cement bags and so far I've only found bags of ashes or...
