    Try to bring and maintain pH between 5.8-6. Hydro does grow faster with the right nutes. pH problems hound us all ;( If you can spend a little more, try for the nutes that adjust your water's pH automatically. There is one with the name advanced nutrients pH perfect, try googling.

    It seems a cal-mag def. Check you pH too, it should always be in the correct range or the plants will suffer and yield will fall.

    I believe 3ftx3ft length, width and 6ft-7ft tall is good for growing 2-3 plants. Avoid fans for they suck the water out of your system, go for air conditioning...Best of luck for your first grow.
