I use the grow for veg and the bloom for flowering. Im not real sure about the lucas formula it just doesnt seem logical but a lot of people use it with great success.

I think the whole removal of males and roots is more stressful to the grower than the actual plants. especially for the first timer.

wow thats cool. I think I may stick with the 600s maybe run like four when I get the right opportunity. my ceilings are only 6.5ft tall so the 1000 generates quite a bit of heat and Im not able to raise it high enough to manage canopy temps.

I can get a 600 for $200 or a 1000 for $389.

I like the GH floranova series with the floralicious plus and koolbloom for additives. I havent used any other kinds but this did the trick the first time and its simple enough to use.

yeah man the shit does cost some cash for sure. as far as hanging your lights Im not sure what you got but I use what they call a yoyo hanger for my 600w hps setup.
