Tape is not the answer, it restricts the plants from moving. One previous guy had the right answer, run kabob stick or anything up the stem you broke, put a piece of string tied to the stick around the stem above the break, then put a piece of string tied to the stick below the break

I personally believe at that age you should give em 4 - 6 hours of dark, It really is so close theres no way the plant will be effected either way you choose

Not positive but if you broke it clean off then its probably not going to heal itself, but if you broke it but it was still partially together then its possible it will come back. Also tape isnt the best way to fix a plant
