I know there was to be an intake bringing in air or an exhaust moving out warm air. Why do people put carbon filters on the intake, it doesn't seem to make sense. Also, is it better to have the carbon filter on the inside of a grow box or the outside of the box on the exhaust fan?

Dimensions on the box are 31.5' H x 24' W x 12' D.

I am building a CFL grow box. To exhaust all of the hot air out, can I use a fan like this 4" Cooling Fan : Computer Fans | RadioShack.com. I know about hooking up the charger to get it to run. Any help is appreciated.

Seedlings went from Peat Pellets to 50% Perlite and 50% FFOF. The seedlings seem to be growing very slow. There are 7 under 9 6500K CFLS. I water them when needed, mist them with a spray bottle and have proper drainage. There is also a fan blowing on them. Any Suggestions?
