Does it grow back out the nodes? Should I let it get a few of them before I start trimming it back? +Rep by the way for helping answer some questions.

Should I let "x" amount of nodes to appear before topping it? I guess I just can't my head around how it would work to keep them short while in a long veg. It's always been really hard for me to grasp that idea.
