    Fox Farm Technical support???

LMAO. This should be interesting. Can't say I've tried their tech support. What brilliant advice did they give you?

    Lucas Formula

True, but that doesn't mean it's not worth trying. Excellence is like life: it's a journey rather than a destination. Just like any other journey, it's up to each person to decide which course and what speed they want to move. What's right for me is right for me, but not necessarily for you...

There was a mob at Spannabis?

It's the responsibilities of the show organizers and the nutrient companies to make sure the people are well-behaved. We can't start expecting people to take responsibility for their own actions and behavior. That's what enormous Orwellian bureaucracies are for!

a quick guide to growing with molasses

Let's check the score here. Four and a half years ago someone makes a joke about how something slated as being "quick" wasn't actually quick. Over two years ago someone drags up this thread and someone else comments about how they dragged up a dead thread. Then you come along and decide to...

    Lucas Formula

There are so many different variables and so forth... I've run Lucas before (using Advanced Nutrients, I'm partial to them) and I had no problems at all. However... The whole time I did (both grows) I was just more tense than usual because I couldn't stop wondering whether it was really as...

BLuE DrEaM - **CFL Armoire Grow** (FOX FARM all the way..)

Beautiful looking grow. You don't typically see that kind of density in a CFL grow. I've been watching for a couple weeks now, figured I might as well say "hi" and officially start watching. Should be a good one, if how it's gone this far is any indication!

Fox Farm Nutes at the beginning? seedling stage.

The common misunderstanding with these charts is to think that the first week on the chart is the first week of growing. It's the first week of feeding. The company assumes the plants have reached a certain level of maturity before you've started giving them nutrients. I see the same mistake a...

    Fox farm

I had the same problem back when I really was growing tomatoes. I can't help much fixing it though, because my solution was to just chuck the dirt and go straight to hydroponics. Soil can be really great, and it can be really simple. But if it isn't, it fights you way more than hydro does. All...

    advanced nutrients BBB rating?

Do a little research on the BBB. They're not impartial and they're not (actually) non-profit though they do file as such. Basically this is how they work. You own a business. The BBB calls you, sets up an appointment to visit your business, and ask the questions. Then they quote you a price...

Advanced Nutrients - Don't understand feeding schedule

Nutrients are less like high school chemistry and more like home economics. It's a recipe, not a formula. Think of it like making chili. Some people like really hot chili. Some people don't want any heat at all. (Heat is the total ppm in this example.) If someone gives you a recipe for chili...

Advanced Nutrients Line-up, Need advice on how much to feed and which ones to use!

Wow, some really out-there advice on this thread. First up it looks like you're using pH Perfect nutrients. Check the labels of the Sensi - got a drawing of a woman? That's pH Perfect. DON'T TRY TO pH THAT. It's designed to automatically adjust and hold the right pH, all you're going to do...

    Advanced nutrients?????

Yep, there would be no problem doing that. A few questions: What water source are you using? How many is a "a few days"? I've seen the pH move around a fair amount before, but my plants were lush and happy so I just kept an eye on them and they were growing as well as ever if not better so I...

    Advanced Nutrients vs Roots Organics

It's difficult to offer really concrete advice without a bit of knowledge on your growing arrangement. It sounds like you're probably growing in soil based on what you're saying, but it's not completely clear if that's the case. Advanced Nutrients products are mainly designed for hydroponics...

Advanced Nutrients Sensi Grow A+B, Sensi Bloom A+B, B-52, Big Bud, Bud Candy

Do NOT do that. That's just ridiculously bad advice without knowing anything more about your grow. First up, are you getting/do you have the pH Perfect line? Because if you do you DEFINITELY don't want to go adding stuff willy-nilly. If you haven't bought nutes yet, definitely make sure you...

    Advanced nutrients question

I've had nothing but great experience with Advanced Nutrients. I'm naturally skeptical of anyone who has nothing but negativity to say about them. You can tell a lot of the haters have no real experience with any of the products they're badmouthing, like a blind prude condemning the pictures in...

Cyco nutrients combined with advanced nutrients

This answers your question right here. You stop using Big Bud when you start using Overdrive. Therefore you'd stop using a copy of Big Bud when you start using Overdrive. If, however, Swell is more like Overdrive then again, you wouldn't use it with Overdrive. As is much more likely - that...

    Advanced Nutrients Hobbyist Bundle

Everyone says that about their nutes. You have to ask yourself why. Do they compare themselves to AN because their nutrients really are as good, or because Advanced Nutrients is the bar they're aiming for? And if their nutrients really are as good, why not take Big Mike up on his million...

Definitely looking forward to seeing some pics. Should be a good grow.

RDWC With Res Below Site Buckets

The design I like for this kind of system involves plenty of redundancy. First, I'll drill each bucket up high where I want the max water level to be. Run relatively large diameter piping from each of those holes to a single return line pipe to the reservoir. That way if one bucket clogs it...

    Question about advanced nutrients

I'd go with what you said at the end. Keep in mind he's running 150w, not 1k or even 600w. That's going to slow the metabolism of his plants a fair amount so he's not going to really get the most out of an aggressive feeding schedule. Better to keep it simpler, stick with the Hobbyist bundle...
