From my reading, 87 is the ideal temp. 90+ is supposed to be bad, but like someone else said, that's dependent on the strain.

Did you rinse it out real well or put it right from the package into the pot? If you didn't rinse it, then dump all of that and start over again. If you did rinse it, I dunno.

big difference. hepa is for mold and carbon is for stink. a central a/c carbon filter will not work and is a waste of money.

400 is WAY more heat than a 250. You can run a 250w in a 3x3x5 (ish) and vent into the same room with acceptable temps for the entire grow. if you go with 400, you will need to find a place to vent the hot air. ambient room temp is 87 in the room where the 3x3x5 is when everything is running.

i say attic, with the exit up near the roof. you don't want mold in the attic as you are venting hot moist humid air.
