The Styrofoam looking bits are hopefully, and most likely Perlite. If you squeeze it between your thumb and forefinger, it should into dust and sand like grit. Perlite is good old fashioned Silica Dioxide. Sand that has been baked in a really hot oven, until it puffs up like popcorn.

Septora is rare... but I like to ask. I am hyper-aware of Septora .... because I have 5 hops vines. 2 prime ladies, 1 unknown lady and a 2 unknown males. I either have severe P deficiency on some of the old growth on the Males.... or Septora. I am very conscious and aware of the potential...

Superthrive may help. If you can find Worm Shit [worm castings] that might help too. Just put a good handful in there, lightly pack it and water it in.

It could be the 1/2 strength nutes. Looks kinda like a big 3 micronute deficiency Cal, Mag or Iron. And/or Ph lockout, which would cause a deficiency as the nutes aren't made available to the plant. On the Oddball, strange and unlikely front..... Do you have a Hops Vine??, or Does your jackass...

Miracle Grow is like Cocaine. It may not be so bad, to give a Rock Star a little.... but throwing a whole key on the Guns N Roses, Motley Crue etc Tour Bus is NOT a good idea.

Cool. You should try it with some "Purple Haze" carrots next year. Carrots are supposed to be a good companion plant for Tomato's. I cant attest one way or the other, but I do have a bunch of carrots amongst my tomato's.
