I cant work out why its starting to flower now as its had the same amount of light each day since born..

Hi, I have what looks to be a female that's just started to flower. Could i put it under a light for the remainder of the flowering? Its spent its whole life by the window sill in our winter sun. Will the plant adjust to the artificial light or would it be happier staying in the window sill...

The leaves? The actual stalk and head look healthy. At least that has toppled over.

Ive got it under a fluro torch run on 4 size D batteries. Not sure how many watts.

Would it be ok to cut the two lower leaves off? They're really sagging down and seem to big for the rest of the plant. The cuts would be above the soil, would that cause any problems?

I think i understand where your coming from. The situation is this. I have one plant from a mate who guaranteed me it would be female. It must of been about a month old when i got it. Its had a few more weeks growth since then (In the window sill. Its winter here) and i think it may be starting...
