yeah it'll burn a lot brighter than a normal mh ballast would; thereby burning out significantly sooner. Should be ok for awhile :)

well, it all has to do with how mcuh your plants are drinking really. I've had a few that only needed to be watered every 5 days or so. 10 is super long really, I'd go with the above suggestion. Good luck!

you could, but most of the plant's energy would be focused on root growth right away, and not as much on development of leaves etc. It's better to transplant up as the plant gets bigger. Thats my opinion anyways ;)

I wouldn't really worry too much about the first set of leaves. If the craziness continues after the second set then something may be wrong. The little guys have a limited amount of energy to expend so it may be that the one leaf isn't as fit as the other. Be patient and it should be fine

I'm pretty damn sure that its complete darkness...possibly the smallest amount of light but not enough to cause any problems I would think

thats a fine temp...if its the bottom leaves of the clones (or just a few) it's ok, they often die off but new growth begins.
