How long ago did you put them in the ground? If recently, it's probably laying down some roots. I would keep the auto's out in the sun as much as possible.

Have you already started them? Mine's 40 days old and they probably have 7-8 weeks left I think. So you may be looking at 1-2 week of October. The days are getting shorter, and the end of September brings rain, and cold nights...which brings mold.
