I picked up the budget 1000w setup from HydroWholesale. MH bulb, HPS bulb, 4" Yieldmaster II, and 5 year warranty on the ballast ran me $275 shipped across the country.

I've been growing 6 plants under 3 double bulb 80w 4' fixtures. From seed in soil to now is 3.5 weeks, about 10" tall on each. And it cost maybe $12 by our prices. Great results so far and the fixtures were $9.99 including 1 bulb. Can't beat that..

I'd say that's WAY too small.

Using premium organic potting soil from a local garden shop. I'm hoping that now I've dropped the temp they'll start growing better. We'll see.

Just hit 2 weeks from when they broke the surface. 4 different strains. Switched to 600w MH from 4 4' fluorescents and I didn't notice the temp jump up to 95+ degrees. Now I'm down to a steady 77* with the lights on. Maybe 69 with them off. Running 18/6. Thinking the hot week may have stopped...

Anyone have input?

I'm looking at roughly 10'x5' of grow space. Would 2 600w or 1 1000w be better for this application? I have cooling sorted and won't pose a problem to either. I read the 1000w being good for 8'x8' or 64 square feet but I'm wondering if it'll work with my dimensions. Also, the 1000W single would...

Hey all, For my next grow I'd like to switch to a soilless medium while retaining 7 gallon pots. I've been exploring expanded clay pellets as well as various Coco products. Would either of these be properly suited for container use? Would be for approximately 25-30 plants. Thanks

Growing 8 strains right now under 8 40w 4' T12's. Things are coming along well in the second week of seedling. Debating whether I should ditch the fluorescent and grab a 400w MH setup. Or I could wait until next round to try new lighting. Thoughts?

Well, Super Silver Haze had around 85% germination. White Widow had maybe 50%. And Himalayan Gold had around 90% germination. Very good results from a seed bank that gets terrible reviews.

Yes I have 6500k for veg and 2700k for flowering. 8 bulbs of each for a total 420 ish watts. Also have a 5' double tube fixture with tubes 1.5" in diameter. I'll just throw all the lights in my grow space and throw in the 60 seedlings. We'll see what happens.

Anyone have input before I transplant today?
