    First timer Questions

Wouldn't worry about the lower leaves, especially in flowering. The plant is putting all its attention to the buds. As long as the problem doesnt start to move up you should be fine.

    first harvest...trimmin and curing..

Yeah, hang them upside down. Keep them in a dark dry area with lots of circulation. Generally, they are done drying when the stem SNAPS clean off. Then you can move onto curing.I would try curing in a glass mason jar. There are a lot of methods but to keep things simple, just remove the lid from...

Its probably a little late to start most of those. Molasses might be a good idea, use blackstrap molasses dissolved in water. Also remember your gonna need to flush them afterwards.

    52% thc content......

The THC Percentage game is amusing. The THC is 29% of WHAT? Surely not of the total plant weight. A 1g joint with .29g of THC would render you Unconscious before you'd finished a quarter of it. The only reasonable assumption is that THC percentage refers to the total constitutes of the plants...

    Would Deer Do This?

My plant was two-and-a-half to three feet tall. It was taken off at the main stock where the first bud was forming, three or fout nodes down. The lower leaves remained untouched, roughly a two feet of the plant left growing in the ground.

Like he said, nutrient burn. Try just plain water until the plant gets a little bigger.

You definatly shouldn't be watering everyday. If your soil is getting dry that quickly maybe you have a drainage problem.

    Bad News. . .

Looks like you are watering it too much. Try heavily watering once, and then waiting until the soil is bone dry when you stick your finger in it. If you do that you should end up watering it no more than once a week.

It's probably fine. 18/6 always worked for me, if you wanted to change it.

    Would Deer Do This?

I went to check on one of my plants today, and reapply the deer deterrent since we just finished with some heavy rain; and the top of my plant was completely gone, just as if it had been cut off. There was a large bud forming there two days before. At first I thought a person must have done it...

    Hermaphrodite

I'm sorry I can't post pictures, I lost the cord to my camera, but I recently found that one of my best plants is a hermaphrodite. It started out with pistils, so I thought it was female, however I checked it yesterday and noticed that it had started to grow pollen sacks. What do I do with it...

    Flush.

Organic and chemical fertilizers both contain nutrient salts. The difference is where the nutrients are derived. Eventually, the plant makes the nutrient an isolated substance, meaning that a buildup can occur in both organic and chemical fertilizers. If you consider flushing useful, it makes no...

leaves hanging down ...over watering ?

I don't know for sure, but I remember reading somewhere that pure distilled water is not healthy to be persons only source of drinking water. Maybe it's bad for plants too.

    Companion Planting

Has anyone ever tried companion planting for pest prevention? I was thinking about putting ramps (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allium_tricoccum) beside my plants to keep away bugs. Lemon balm, which produces a citronella like oil, was another plant I considered. Any thoughts?

Plant Prob. Pls help diagnose pics inside

Looks like nutrient burn. If you are growing them in pots, what type of water are you using. Tap water where I live is very heavily fluoridated and chlorinated and that will cause burn.
