Yea, Heres the thing. Im pretty sure the brown IS because the top is letting in too much light. Im guessing, because the roots look white as hell below the nutrient/water line. Only above the water, closer to where they hang down are they brown. As I said before, Im pretty broke. So a quick fix...

Wow, thanks a lot.I have a 6'' vortex fan. I believe its something like 430cfm I'm pretty sure that's a stong enough fan. Any other tips you can give me that might reduce smell? How about those Ozone in a bucket type things?
