    Freezer Curing Cannabis

I've used this method before from the infamous thread over at IC but it's been years ago since I've grown. I do remember, like the op stated in his thread, I did let the buds dry for several days until the stems were bendy and almost snapping. Then I put them into paper bags and into my frost...

I'm just curious, have you tried the lotus cure in a modern frost free fridge compared to what you're doing now? I'm curious how they compare and differ. I've only dried and cured in my frost free freezer.

When you have the whole dehu in the same space the evap and condenser are in the same space. I'm seeing this on other builds both compressor based and thermoelectric. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's the cold side (condenser) that pulls the moisture out by lowering the dew point and forming...

So the thermoelectric coolers don't work well if the ambient temp is high? This is the primary reason I was looking to build something, the summers are long and hot here in the US south. It's 100+ F @ 30-40% RH for months outside and 80+ F or so inside. I couldn't afford to run a AC all day for...

Hmm, the ones that go into cigar humidors don't pool. I guess if they got over saturated they might but I've never heard anybody says this. I'm switching over to the beads for my cigars as the Boveda get expensive over time. https://www.heartfeltindustries.com/categories.asp?cat=Humidity+Beads

I'm curious if anybody has tried the 2 way humidity beads or boveda packs to pull out the moisture and then add back as needed? I see the wine coolers you guys are building have a dehu in them, I was just curious if taking some 2 way beads that have been dried out would pull the moisture out of...

I assume you're referring to a normal kitchen fridge which is frost free...it has a built in heater for the freezer and fridge part right? I was talking about those little office fridges. The one I have has a metal plate in the back that gets ice on it when it gets really cold. Doesn't the Ice...

Are they not the same modules just reversed to their hot side? I was wondering about getting six of the 50x50mm peltier modules and have three of them exposed on their cool side and the other three on their hot side. Then use the controller to control which ones are on...

What's the issue with compressor based units, does cycle them on and off for such short periods cause the issue or something else? I have a sanyo office fridge, without freezer, that's laying around. Can't see much difference between a compressor based wine cooler vs small fridge if in fact they...

$350 for the whole thing..including the cooler? Can you share the model of the cooler and dehu? The cheapest cooler I see is about $200..brands I've never heard of. I'm curious if anybody has bought those peltier plates you can buy and make their own. I see 250W peltier plates made for...

I need to build something to dry and cure my weed as I can't control my environment as much as I'd like. In the summer I can't run the AC all the time as it cost to much, winter the reverse. I ran across this thread about the wine cooler. I'm understanding the peltier aka thermoelectric is...

    Help ants everywhere

Do you have a sprayer..if so I guess you could mix up a little bleach water and spay the area down before putting the tarp down. Go to youtube and look up boric acid and apple juice. It's cheap and will wipe out the entire colony. Some people use water and sugar with the acid.

    Something is off

Interesting, there's people on there that grow outdoors and their plants get rained on without rot. I'll have to ask more about this I guess in the outdoor forums. Where about are you located..is it really humid to? Was the plant almost done. I got rot indoors once because I got greedy and let...

Curious what caused the bud rot, did you get caterpillar or just moisture? I've only grown in doors but am trying a outdoor one right now and I'm concerned with rot.
