I wouldn't worry about "older cobs" since they use the cxb3070, and really all that matters is how well the light grows the plants. The plants don't know if they're under 3070, vero 29, or 3590. As long as it's hitting them with the right spectrum and intensity you are good to go.

I love my go green lights and can't recommend them enough. You could get a 300w for the 2x3 and either another 300w or 2-3 200w units in the 3x4. I have used just a 300w unit in a 3.5'x3.5' and was very impressed with the results. I'm doing an experiment right now with two 300w units in the same...

    Blueberry Headband & ECSD 600w CXB3070

Added in dry kool bloom to my last top off. It's the perfect time to hit the bbhb with it, and a little early for the ecsd but hopefully it wont compromise the sour d yields too badly. The bbhb has the perfect amount of nute burn right now staying just on the very tips of the fan leaves. The...

That would be a disservice to those in need of personalized, low cost treatment. I hope that doesn't go through.

    Colorado Caregivers

So I'm a caregiver looking to add patients and I'm wondering where are independent caregivers getting their referrals from? All friends and word of mouth or mmj forums or what? I would prefer to find a patient that would benefit from the plant. Not looking to keep a college kid with his red card...

    Do you recycler your water?

Quiet at the back please! (Stealthiest hydro?)

Just do rock wool in a sealed room. Instead to the drip baskets use a drip hose in a ring around the base of the plant. That will eliminate the sound of the pressure you hear on drippers. With those cobs temp shouldn't be an issue with co2 supplementation. Use a muffler on your carbon filter...

    Nutrient reservoir

I just top mine off. But I'm in a drain to waste set-up. If you top up in a recycling system over time your nutrient solution will become weaker since plants are pulling out the nutrients in the water every time they are fed. For ebb and flo just change it out every other week. If you see signs...

Why is rockwool so complicated? Top feeding and root rot

You can also space out those waterings. Might be better to give the plants 30 seconds of water 6 times day then 1min 3 times a day.

    Tell me what to buy?

You could maybe get away with 3 300w units in a 4x8 but in a ideal world where budget is no issue, I'd go with 4 of them or 8 of the 200w units. 8 200w will give you a better coverage than 4-300's but really you can't go wrong either way. You'll pay for your lights with the first harvest.

    Tell me what to buy?

I don't see any evidence to suggest they ripped anyone off. They use that same case as a bunch of other companies, but I assume that's just whats available on a large scale from overseas. Same one Johnson grow lights uses. What are you basing that on? Don't listen to the haters. From someone...

    Tell me what to buy?

In an 8x5 you'd probably want two of the 4 packs for even coverage. It's more costly up front but with no bulb purchases every cycle, less heat to vent out, and less electric, the upfront cost quickly becomes a saving. If your using active intake and exhaust you won't need an ac unit in there...
