    Not another strip build

I would have to go out & buy rivets or screws, I've already got the welder & wire. Plus it is a lot faster to make with welding than drill& bolt. They are Samsung made strips I found on Ebay, I believe the guy was marketing them as "Sun Board" $400 for 25 strips, 3000k 85W per strip, using...

    Not another strip build

So after seeing Renfo's grow I decided to add some side lighting. I tried some QB's in my veg tent and I like them, but the LED's could stand to be spaced out better. I found some LM301B strips, made a quick plan, and got them on order! I expect more parts to trickle in over the next few days...

    The Main-Lining Thread

I'd say 32 is a good number for 4x4, assuming you have a good light, 600w hps will be bare minimum. You will completely fill your tent at that size, make sure you can fit a baby fan below for air circulation.

Optimizing conditions when you just can't keep humidity up? What have you done?

I upgraded to an atomizing humidifier. 26w and it doesn't get funked up since there is no filter pad thing.

I thought I noticed my girls bounced back after training if I left fans on, anyone see similar results?

    Lobster compost

Hey man, nice work! I've been looking into commercial composting, and you can reduce or eliminate smell by aerating (turning for you) more often and maintaining the correct carbon to nitrogen ratio in your pile. You can send samples to be tested in your local universities. Look up their...

100% climate control, what else do I need?

I had some luck stabilizing my room by adding thermal mass, I moved my 60 gallon water tank into the room.

My cat ate from my 2 week old plant...

They will also get hairs in your buds when those arrive, keep the cat out and lint roll yourself or change clothes before you go in. Trust me on this one, it will save you some headache.

100% climate control, what else do I need?

I'll second the autopilot for CO2. I use inkbirds stuff for temp & humidity. Super simple plug & play stuff. Decent adjustability if you want it. Doesn't do separate Day/Night temps though.

Proper ph for growing in promix

TBH, I'm not an outdoor guy and I don't know much about it. But for your goals of not watering as much and being stealth I would just skip the promix and go straight soil. The purpose of soiless is to exactly control the nutes & max out intake with lots of oversight and labor. I don't see any...

There are more than 2 Human Sexes

Uh...XXX, XYY, and XXY are all genetic disorders man, and this isn't from the past decade. These were known about in 70's. These people can have deformities and shortened lifespans. The correct gender chromosomes for human health is XX or XY. Genetic disorders like Kleinfelters or Down's aren't...

    MY LIGHTS SHOULD I SWAP

Dude, do your research and buy HLG. I replaced a true 180W blurple with a 320W DIY HLG in my veg tent and I couldn't be happier. Temps are lower with more power and the plants grew better with some stacked nodes. It's not hard and there's lots of tutorials online. I think it cost around $340 all...

    Avoiding Bugs

Yeah that's hair, web won't hold the wave like that. I have pets & I have to use a sticky roller before I go in my room.

    I hate fungus gnats!

So I had these jerks on my first run, sticky traps really didn't do the trick for me, only got the adults. I had more every day. https://www.naturesgoodguys.com/collections/fungus-gnat-control/products/5-million-live-beneficial-nematodes-sf-fungus-gnat-rootknot-gall-exterminator One of my...

Proper ph for growing in promix

Ray, I'll second your PH numbers, but I don't think promix should be considered soil. Promix is peat moss with coco depending on which version you get. These mediums have NO nutrients for your plants in them and require a comprehensive nutrient line. Soil typically has everything a plant needs...

    Quantum board set-up efficiency

I went to a friends grow last night, he is hitting 90-70K lux with open 1000 single ended bulbs. Just a little part of my research but it tells me that LED's are definitely they way to go, he's pulling WAY more wattage than @fragileassassin while having comparable output.

    Quantum board set-up efficiency

I was looking at the 4' strips with Samsung LM301B's so it would be comparable. https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/samsung-semiconductor-inc/SI-B8V201B20US/1510-2289-ND/7562247

That is an AWESOME setup fragile! I will have to keep some HID because I need the heat, but dang.
