Have I permanently stunted my plants? Started with 2700K light

They will be fine, some growers use 2700k (HPS is similar in color) for the entire life of the plants. Some will use 6500k (MH is similar in color) for the entire life. Some will use a mixture of both the entire life. Like many others I prefer 6500k for veg and 2700k for flowering, but I have...

My First Grow... Tips and Advice Please!!!

I would disagree with the last part of that, if the plant is outside during vegetative hours, it will not continue to flower, it will revert to veg. That is how pre sexing a plant is done, 12/12 until flowering then back under 18/6 to revert to veg(you can lose some of your yield by forcing to...

How long should i keep plants on 24/7 and various other questions

Over watering will stunt growth, its easier for the plant to recover from under watering than it is to recover from over watering. I keep mine 24/7 because it tends to keep the plants shorter and bushier.(most upward growth is done during the night, so switching to 18/6 will make them taller and...

My First Grow... Tips and Advice Please!!!

they will not be ready sooner, if it says it will be done in sept/oct and it takes 8 weeks to flower, then you can count on harvesting sometime in sept. or oct. and the plants starting to flower 8 weeks before that.(july/aug.) Unless you shade them with something. I started my plants indoor...

How long should i keep plants on 24/7 and various other questions

I prefer to keep my plants under continuous light, but you can switch to 18/6 any time you want(will save you money) I usually start adding light nutrients at the first sign of yellow(light green) at the tops. The best Nutrients at a retail store... a little harder to answer, I usually use 50...

    Humidifier??? + Rep for Help

just be careful to not let them get under watered too often(causes stress) some stress is a good thing, increasing resin production, building stronger roots, getting more colas etc.(dependent on the type of stress applied--shaking stem, letting dry out, low stress training, fimming...

    Humidifier??? + Rep for Help

I know its not the answer you were looking for, but I haven't used a humidifier before. If you have room for a 5 gallon bucket(any size should work) you can fill it with water and leave it in the room.(preferably without much light hitting the water in order to prevent algae)or A portable...

Growing With two 27 watt daylight cfls and two 20 watt soft white cfls on two plants

I would assume that your 27 watt 5000k bulbs are putting out approximately 1700 lumens each(as I said before it will still vary depending on manufacturer, usually 1600-1800 lumens for that size bulb). So with appx. 3400 lumens(both bulbs) you will be just over the minimum light needed for a...

Growing With two 27 watt daylight cfls and two 20 watt soft white cfls on two plants

6500k (or similar) is normally used for the vegetative cycle. 2700k (or similar) is normally used for flowering. Some people prefer to use a mixture of both lights for the entire life of the plant(s). You should try and have at minimum a 3000 lumen per square foot ratio. Lumen output varies by...

Lets have a filthyfletch hates CFLs forum

well, this is an old posting, but since no one answered...with a 4 foot fluorescent tube you would divide the lumens by 2 if you were using the shoplights that hold 2 tubes to get a pretty accurate lumen per sq ft ratio. In my opinion cfl's are good for anyone who wants to learn to grow...

    My females have bugs HELP!!!!

If they're still vegging, misting every once in a while(not in the sun) will help to keep bugs away...or using a fan to create more wind will also help to keep bugs away during either cycle...I normally use these as preventive measures, but you will always get some bugs on your outdoor plants...

    Droopy Leaves

Does anyone have any idea why the leaves would be drooping like this? It is 3 Bagseed in a 18 gallon rubbermaid container with 25 3/4" holes in the bottom for good drainage. I use Black Gold Potting Mix(works well for the rest of my plants). Maybe under fertilizing? Any opinions would be...
