I tied the tops of my plants to some bamboo stakes today brining the total height to about 16" which looks like is the max distance you would want for a 250w mh according to the chart Bonzi Lighthouse posted, does that sound about right??? Here is a pic of what it looks like now with the lights...

I only cut a few of the larger ones that were blocking the light to buds. My sour d's still have tons of fans on them

also, my current run of flowering plants(mostly sour d), I trimmed of most of the larger fans right before flowering, I have noticed way bigger buds, but only at the nodes, not all up and down the plant like in this picture, how do I get my plants to bud like this?

then should I make up for the lack of light lower on the plant with lighting from underneath the plant like florescent lights
