When Can I Start to Flower?

My plants sprouted on September 26th. I grew them with CFL's up until October 8th, I then switched over to a 400 Watt Metal Halide Light. I was just wondering what is roughly the time span they will take to be able to support buds. I am growing in a closet grow room and I am trying to grow my...

    Is 150 Watt HPS Enough?

Ok good to know. So a 400 watt light will be enough for 4-5 plants? I am currently in the process of buying a 400 Watt MH light for the vegging stage. The area I am growing in is going to just fit 4-5 small, bushy plants. I don't want to go overboard on the lighting for the amount of space I...

    Is 150 Watt HPS Enough?

I have a mini sun-burst 150 Watt HPS light. I was wondering if this would be enough to bud 4-5 plants? I am not working with much space here. The plants pill be set up in a 4'x4' closet. Should I upgrade to a higher wattage? Or can I get away with just the 150 Watt light?

What do I need to fertilize soil-less mix for vegging stage?

I am near a hydro shop actually. I was in there the other day looking at the hundreds of different types and brands so i thought I would ask to see if there is an easy to follow fertilizer program. I guess I will just go in there and ask him what he would recommend. The only problem is when I do...

    38 Dayz old - 4 26 Watt Cfl 1 Inch Away

I am flowering with a 150 Watt HPS light. I am about to go and buy a T5 fluorescent grow light today actually. I have heard they are a good, cheap alternative to buying a Metal Halide light for the vegging stage. I am just wondering how long the CFI's would sustain the 4 plants I have. I have...

What do I need to fertilize soil-less mix for vegging stage?

I am currently vegging my plants. I have them in a nutrient free mix for the sprouting stage. I am transplanting them into a nutrient free, soil-less mix and I have no clue what i need to fertilize them with at this stage. I am a somewhat beginner grower and i have never grown with a soil I had...

    38 Dayz old - 4 26 Watt Cfl 1 Inch Away

I am currently growing 4 Plants with 3 30W (120W Equivalent) CFL's. The each put out 2100 lumen's. Will that be enough to sustain these plants to the flowering stage or would you recommend me going with a T5 Fluorescent tubes. If so what wattage would you recommend. I am growing in a 5'x3' closet.

CFL Vs. HPS light for vegging

I also grow for personal use only. No more than 5 or 6 plants also. I will buy a T5 fluorescent fixture. How many watts do you think I need to sustain 5 plants. I am a closet grower so plants will not be getting tall, just bushy.

    Do these look healthy?

These are my babies. The are 1 week old today. I have been growing them with CFL light bulbs and I was just wondering if they look like they are growing normally. I had one incident with the Philips Agro-Light torching the soil within a few hours, so I know that had to have some effect on...

Philipps 75W Agro Lights for vegging?

I bought 2 75w Philips agro lights for The Home Depot. Are these good for starting off and vegging seedling? I know there has been some issues with the bulbs torching the plant and soil due to poor ventilation. That aside are they good for vegging plants quickly?

CFL Vs. HPS light for vegging

My seedlings are about a week old now. I was wondering if I would get faster and healthier growth using my 150W HPS light vs. the 3 42w CFL's I have on my 4 Plants. I am looking to get these things ready to flower as soon as possible without stressing out the plants. Any input?
