check your water PH and don't over water - water just 1 to 2 times a week at most - let nature do it's thing

actually, plants can consume a lot more co2 than is available in fresh air and that is why adding more co2 is a good idea and for a small area like that a simple co2 setup with yeast and sugar, or vinegar and bone meal is all that is needed
