    Has anyone chopped yet??

Some of my plants - ones that do not really look ready - had all their pistils turn brown when the temps dipped to 35 the other night. The plants themselves look fine (although some turned purple), just smaller buds with fewer trichomes. I don't want to pull them so I am waiting to see if they...

Yeah! It's Bud Worm Season. Pics

I sprayed my last dose a 2-3 weeks ago (both bt and spinosad, though not at the same time) and am still finding dead insects. I think it stays effective for at least a couple-three weeks unless you have a heavy rain.

    Who's Got The Frostiest Outdoor?

Looking done enough, slayer :) I've had great luck with breakage. I've been able to reposition and tie back (wrapped like a mummy with baling twine) the few large branches that broke (one almost clean off). I check them daily but they are ripening with the rest of the plant. So far so good.

    Outdoor Harvest Thread

^^I tried to do that and no go. LOL, I'm weak - I broughtr in my loppers today; laid down a tarp in my drying stall ... just a few branches ready so far but they are going to start falling like dominoes soon :)

How much Sun Light does a plant need

A minimum of 6 hours direct sun and they will be good.

Let GDP And Others Go To Seed

I would sort them by cross and store the seeds in small cobalt jars. I have a bunch of these I purchased on ebay for this purpose. I would put all the small jars into a larger jar or container with dessicant (silica packets) and put it in the fridge.

    Early Harvest!

You can chop the top half. That way you have some if it gets ripped and if not, you'll have some nice and ripe bud with what you leave.

    Has anyone chopped yet??

I chopped a clone for some smoke. I'm about to chop another. My big girls from seed are anywhere from one week to one month away. They are lookin' mighty fine :)

    Empty

I'm going to use wheezer's bin method (untrimmed) for curing and storing at least 1/3 of my yield. Another maybe 1/5 of the total, I'll freeze straightaway for hash. That'll cut down on immediate trim time. My plants are at all different stages, so I should be well-paced over the next month.

Yeah, I set my station up in one section of my big barn (and locked the barn to keep the horses out for now). I can dry a plant per stall. So far, I've brought in some drying racks, table chair, bins, buckets and jars, paper bags and extra brown paper, scissors, a radio, an extension phone...

    Frost cut now??

They can take some light frostings - don't worry until you see a hard frost on the horizon. Some strains can take some hard frosts as well.
